Krill Oils

Krill Oils

Krill Oil is extracted from the oil that's found naturally in Antarctic krill. Antarctic krill, Euphausia superba, are shrimp-like crustaceans that thrive in the pristine oceans of Antarctica. Krill Oil is rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids, phospholipids and antioxidants.

Without enough omega-3s cells become less flexible and do not release enough waste products. The membrane becomes like a perished bicycle tube, brittle and leaky. The omega-3s in Krill Oil are pre-packaged with phospholipids and anti-oxidants in liposomes. This ensures quick and effective delivery of and un-oxidized omega-3s to where they are needed in the cell membranes.

Taking Krill Oil assists in addressing the omega-6 v omega-3 imbalance, a common problem experienced today by people eating western diets, and reduces inflammation.

A simple once daily 300 mg dose of Krill Oil reduces the pain of osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis.

LDL takes cholesterol from the liver to the cells. If we have too much LDL we have too much cholesterol. HDL takes cholesterol from the cells to the liver to be destroyed. If we increase HDL we decrease cholesterol. Krill Oil increases HDL more effectively than statins.

Krill Oil has been shown to be effective across a range of PMS symptoms.

The omega-3s in Krill Oil come with their own protection against oxidation, aztaxanthin. Listed below is a brief description for each of the products in this category.
